N100
AUDITORY SENSATION
The N100 response is a sensory response. It is stimulated by auditory tones that elicit a negative (N) peak occurring approximately 100 milliseconds after the sensory events (ie. hearing the sound).
P300
BASIC ATTENTION
The P300 response is an attention response. It is stimulated by random unexpected tones embedded within a sequence of expected tones. The P300 is a positive (P) peak that occurs approx. 300 milliseconds after hearing unexpected tones.
N400
COGNITIVE PROCESSING
The N400 response is a cognitive response. It is related to processing the meaning of word pairs, where some word pairs match and others do not. The N400 is a negative (N) peak occurring approximately 400 milliseconds after hearing mismatched words.
What to Expect
The Brain Vitals ERP scan is recommended for individuals who have experienced a brain injury or are concerned about their current or future brain health. It is especially beneficial for those undergoing prolonged or delayed recovery from brain injuries. The test is validated for individuals aged six years and older, but does require fluency in english.

Physician Interpretation
Our trained technician uses sensors placed on your head. This cap gathers the information which is used to analyze sensory, attention, and language processing. The scan lasts for 6-minutes and your whole appointment will be approximately 30-min at our Centre.
Following your scan, our clinicians will schedule a 30-min virtual consultation with you to go over what your results mean for your cognitive health. You will be given tailored strategies and recommendations as well as information about supplementation to help you feel and operate at your best.
Also included: A follow-up document summarizing your recommendations, so you can start implementing steps to improve and support your cognitive function right away.
